Nachdem die Rocklegenden von Aerosmith mit „Guitar Hero – Aerosmith“ bereits 2008 ihren Einstand in der bunten Welt der Musikspiele feierten, zieht nun Metallica nach. Im Unterschied zum Titel um die Rockröhre Steven Tyler, spielen Sie in „Guitar Hero – Metallica“ die ganze Band – denn das Musikspiel unterstützt Gitarre, Schlagzeug und Mikrofon des aktuellen Serienablegers „Guitar Hero – World Tour“.

Auf der offiziellen Metallica-Seite hat die Band jetzt die Songliste des Spiels veröffentlicht. Demnach bietet das Spiel nicht nur 28 Lieder der amerikanischen Rocker, sondern auch 21 Stücke befreundeter Bands.
